How it works
Step 1
Describe your post
Say what's in the photo, where it was taken and the feeling you want – one sentence is enough.
Step 2
Pick a style
Funny, aesthetic, short, inspirational, business or captions that end with hashtags.
Step 3
Copy your favorite
Pick a caption, tweak a word or two so it sounds like you, and paste it into your post.
Captions that match the photo, not a template
Most caption lists online are generic quotes that could sit under any picture. This generator writes captions from your own description, so they mention the beach, the latte art or the product launch you actually posted. You get ten options at once in different lengths – a punchy one-liner, a short story, a question that invites comments – so you can choose the one that fits your account. Because the output is plain text, it pastes cleanly into the Instagram app, a scheduler or your notes for later.
How to write a description that gets better captions
The more specific your input, the less generic the result. Instead of 'beach photo', try 'first swim of the year in cold water, laughing with my sister'. Include who is in the photo, the place, the moment and the tone you want. If you run a business account, add the product name and the one thing you want followers to do, such as visit the link in your bio or save the post.
If the first batch feels off, change one detail and generate again. Switching the style from Aesthetic to Funny on the same description is a quick way to see very different angles.
Choosing the right caption length
Short captions work well for strong visuals where the photo does the talking: travel shots, outfits, food. Longer captions suit carousels, tips, behind-the-scenes posts and anything where you want saves or comments. A useful habit is to put the most important line first, because only the opening of a caption shows before the 'more' cut-off in the feed.
Ending with a question ('Which one would you pick?') gives people an easy reason to comment. Use it on some posts, not all, so it doesn't feel forced.
Mistakes to avoid
Don't paste a caption that claims something untrue, like a place you didn't visit or a result a product can't promise. Avoid stuffing a caption with dozens of hashtags; a few relevant ones usually read better than a wall of tags. Read the caption out loud before posting – if it doesn't sound like something you'd say, change a word or two.
Finally, keep your voice consistent. If your account is playful, an overly formal caption will stand out. Save the captions you like in a note so you have ideas ready for slower days.

Can I use the captions for a business account?
Yes. Choose the Business style and mention your product and the action you want followers to take. Review the wording so it matches your brand and makes no claims you can't back up.
